The Melbourne 2005 20th Summer Deaflympics logo was created to represent the global Deaf community and act as symbol of communication and goodwill. The logo's modern design reflects Melbourne's architecture, vibrant culture and cosmopolitan atmosphere. The colours represent Australia's blue sky and sea, yellow sun and sand, ochre colours of the outback and Melbourne's green gardens. The red colour is about celebration.
