Entry-Level Finance/Accounting Associate
Job Description:
The International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) is seeking recent graduates or early-career professionals with a degree in finance, accounting, or a related business field to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in an international sports environment, grow your skills and experience, and work closely with the ICSD CEO in a dynamic and supportive culture.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Data entry and management of financial and accounting records, including journal entries.
- Create and deliver monthly financial status reports.
- Support the month-end closing process.
- Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets for budget performance management.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Provide customer service and handle client-facing tasks, including gathering financial information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and fostering an inclusive working and learning environment.
Additional Position Details:
- Must be a resident of Switzerland, with preference for those located near Lausanne.
- Be able to go to ICSD’s bank for transaction purposes and be able to deliver reports to the accounting or audit office.
- Work at home or remotely.
- Part-time, side-job position: 10 hours per week.
- Compensation: Negotiable.
- Opportunity to grow skills and experience, and work closely with the ICSD CEO.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during ICSD-sanctioned events.
