Financial reporting is the disclosure of important financial information and other activities of the organization to various stakeholders for helping them get the idea about the actual financial position of the organization at any point in time. Financial statements and reports are used to tell a quantitative story. Numbers do not lie and can be easier to communicate, so financial reports are heavily used as tools for managing performance in the world of business. The ICSD even requires Full and Associate members to publish certain financial reports.
