Sofia 2013 22nd Deaflympics Marathon Details

The Marathon for the upcoming Sofia 2013 Deaflympics will not take place in Bulgaria. It will take place in Germany, just one week before competitions start in Sofia. Füssen, a city in the south of Germany will be host of the 22nd Deaflympics Marathon.

The organizers of the Königsschlösser Romantik Marathon are delighted to be able to welcome our deaf athletes to their marathon. Füssen is not only well known for breathtaking nature, and offers a well-organised race for our athletes to join as they race for the title of Deaflympics champion.

The Königsschlösser Romantik Marathon is scheduled for 21 July, giving athletes plenty of time to make the short journey to Sofia if they wish to compete in or watch other events.

An ICSD representative will be present at the marathon for the medals ceremony and it will count for a normal Sofia 2013 Deaflympics medal.
